See the stars at Kovac Planetarium

by Wisconsin River Cruises

The Kovac Planetarium east of Rhinelander has opened for the season.  If you travel about 20 miles east of Rhinelander on Hwy 8, you will see their sign.  Frank Kovac bills his attraction the world’s largest mechanical planetarium.

I was fortunate enough to get a private showing from Frank about a month ago.  It was an excellent show!  Frank is very knowledgeable about all things having to do with the planets and stars.

by Wisconsin River Cruises

wrc-playpicture

Wisconsin River Cruises dinner theater schedule begins Friday night June 18th.  Professional actors from Northern Lights Playhouse will be performing, The Altos…think the Sopranos, only lower.  Cruise staff will be checking ALL passengers for weapons before boarding!

The Altos will have two performances every Friday including a 1:00 matinee and the 6:00 evening performance.  The matinee has been added this season due to overflow crowds last year.  The matinee is especially suited to group tours, senior groups and those who enjoy an afternoon of entertainment.

The Altos is featured every Friday through September 3rd.

Tomahawk Wedding Show

by Wisconsin River Cruises

The Rodeway Inn hosted the annual wedding show in Tomahawk last weekend. Lots of good vendors in attendance selling their wares. It was great to see Linda Maull there with her jewelry display. It was a lot of fun being next to the Brian West Show. Brian has an interesting gig with magic, DJ and a game show. Sounds interesting.

There were many other vendors from caterers to tuxedo rentals in attendance. All in all a fun day showing off what the Northwoods has to offer to brides.
